NERF was the toy brand your parents played with. Maybe even your grandparents. I mean, have you seen this NERF ad starring the Monkees from the 70s?
But in the age of video games and -verses and all things virtual, NERF saw a lag in kids’ desire to get out and play. As a brand, they needed to remind kids and parents of the joy of playing with wild, uninhibited, reckless abandon.
So, we created a crazy, dart-covered character who could inspire people everywhere to unleash the play lying dormant inside of them.
Murph.
Things got off to a rocky start.
But then, Twitter got kind of obsessed.
And the rest of the internet followed suit.
Murph even got to ring the Nasdaq closing bell. Like… what?
Oh yeah. And we made a couple of really fun spots starring Murph’s species, NERFoids.
